We have a Ranch house with a dormer over the garage and soon to have a split dormer/roof over the front porch and bay window. (small roof over a porch sharing the same left side as the dormer over the house) I thought about adding the "Y" so the dormers had the same left to right pattern as the straight line of the ranch. But I'm not sure if that would be a waste of lights and look cool enough. Any ideas?

Now can you do one with a motion sensor on one side for stain wells? Leviton does one but only for single pole. One question I want to know is if the distance it too long for just one sensor then does my second sensor need to be a companion sensor or a slave sensor or just two of the same? Thank you for teaching this subject.

Also worth upgrading to steel in the grates , the porecelin coated ones go bad after 2 years but you can call Weber and get free replacement with in 2 years on them and the flavorizer bars and burners. My controller is outside 70 feet, 4 walls, from my wifi, So, I had to use a wifi range extender. I'm using a well pump so, have heard the relay current from the controller is 24VAC .3 wimpy amps max. Its not enough current to trigger a normal 40amp 240VAC relay. So what I did is used a little DIN rail 24VAC 10A relay to turn on a Rain Bird 24VAC transformer with more power for the beefy relay, else you have to buy a Monroe $100 relay that will trigger with the puny .3 amps the controller puts out. Of course nobody tells you this. Why doesn't Rachio supply adequate relay power???? Its a PITA.

    • @handydadtv

Ouch. You need to open the ceiling to see where it’s leaking. Could be the shower pan. Could be the valve. Once you can see up there, test the shower pan with a bucket filled somewhere else. If it doesn’t leak, then try the valve.
